Inaugural Volunteer Big Kern

January 10, 2025

Please join us for the inaugural Volunteer Big Kern, hosted in partnership with Kern Community Foundation and Blue Zones Project Bakersfield. Volunteer Big Kern is Kern County's newest one day volunteer event. There are so many nonprofits doing amazing work in our county, and they need volunteers to help them achieve their goals and live their mission.

Volunteer Big Kern will give individuals, businesses, and organizations across Kern County the opportunity to come together and make a lasting impact through service. This year, volunteers can complete several projects for nonprofits throughout Kern County in a single day, which will represent hundreds of hours of volunteer time.

Why Volunteer Big Kern Matters:

  1. Support local nonprofits in achieving their goals and living their missions
  2. Foster a sense of purpose and connection in our community
  3. Align with Blue Zones Project principles for longevity and well-being
  4. Celebrate and strengthen Kern County's generous and giving culture
