Marc Supporting The Center

I began my journey with The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity back in 2021, during a time when I, like many others, was experiencing social isolation from COVID and longing for connection. What started as simply seeking community quickly became something much more meaningful, as I found support, belonging, and purpose through participating in groups like Men's Support. As I continued to grow, I deepened my involvement by interning as an MSW student, which further shaped my commitment to community care and advocacy. This experience led me to serve as a volunteer therapist, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting others in their healing journeys, and to create and co-facilitate my own group, Shades of Masculinity, focused on exploring identity, vulnerability, and growth for individuals on identifying as presenting masculine or male.

The Center has truly been a beacon of hope in my life, one that not only supported me, but also inspired me to give back in meaningful ways. Through each role, I’ve been able to make a tangible difference in people’s lives while continuing to grow both personally and professionally. Today, I am grateful to carry that journey forward as a Board Member, remaining committed to strengthening and uplifting the community that first welcomed me.
