6th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C.

Agapeland Christian Academy (ACA), established in 1989, is a tuition based; privately funded school located in the heart of central Bakersfield. For over 35 years, our mission has been to educate and develop spiritually astute, globally prepared students. We pride ourselves on keeping tuition affordable to ensure more families in our community have access to a high-quality, empowering education.

Since preschool, our students have been held to the highest academic standards, flourishing within an environment specifically designed to empower children of color. To celebrate their transition to middle school, we are organizing an educational trip to Washington, D.C. from May 19th-May 23rd.  

For many of these nine students, this trip represents a series of "firsts." For most, it will be their first time leaving California and their first time boarding an aircraft. This journey is the hands-on culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

Our goal is 100% participation, ensuring no student is left behind due to financial constraints. The all-inclusive cost per student is $1,297.00 which covers airfare from Bakersfield, hotel accommodations, guided tours of national monuments and historical sites.  

We are seeking community partners to help offset these costs for our hardworking families—many of whom have been part of the ACA community for over a decade.
