Many of you know my story, and I am deeply grateful for your support over the years.
My daughter, Kimberly, began having seizures at just six weeks old. At the age of one, she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. She faced significant developmental challenges—she never walked independently and never spoke. By age 12, she required a G-tube for additional nourishment.
Despite these challenges, Kimberly brought immense joy to our lives. She loved music, Disney movies, her sister, and especially my dad. While traveling was often difficult, we made cherished memories together—family trips to Disneyland, Hawaii, and a special journey to Florida for dolphin therapy. And of course, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to visit Disney World while we were there.
Because of Kimberly, I became one of the founding parents of H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection. Through this journey, I have been blessed to meet some of the most incredible parents of children with special needs. The support, shared knowledge, and commitment to helping one another navigate services and resources became the very heart of H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection.
It has been an honor to serve as the Director of H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection for many years. I am deeply grateful to Debbie Oftedal and Teresa Farmer for laying the foundation for this organization.
Today, I invite you to join me in making a donation to H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection. Your support helps ensure that families continue to receive the guidance, education, and community they need.
