I lost my husband in 2022 to suicide. In the midst of that loss, The Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity helped me find therapy and begin healing through both group and individual support.
Over time, I realized how little I had understood about suicide and mental health—and how critical access to affirming care truly is.
In 2025, I joined the Board of Directors to give back and help ensure others have access to the same support that changed my life. Community was there for me when I needed it most. Now, we must make sure The Center can continue showing up for others.
