I serve as a board member with H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection because this work is personal to me. I have a son with autism, and I understand firsthand the challenges, emotions, and daily realities that families like ours face. There are moments that can feel overwhelming, isolating, and uncertain, and having the right support system makes all the difference.
H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection provides that support. It creates a space where families can connect, share their experiences, and feel understood without judgment. Through support groups, resources, and community events, we help families know they are not alone and give them tools and encouragement to keep moving forward.
As a board member, I am committed to helping strengthen and grow these programs so more families can access the same kind of support. I want to make sure what we offer is meaningful, consistent, and truly meets the needs of our community. That includes advocating for transparency, supporting fundraising efforts, and ensuring our impact continues to grow.
This role matters to me not just as a board member, but as a parent. I know how important it is to feel supported, heard, and connected. My goal is to help build a community where every family, no matter their journey, feels seen, supported, and never alone.
