These prizes help boost participation and strengthen support for their causes.

Opportunity Drawings

Give Big Kern challenges are designed to reward action. When your organization completes a designated challenge, you will be entered into an opportunity drawing for bonus prize dollars.

For organizations with 100% board participation. Each board member must donate at least $20 online through the GBK platform, and the organization must submit the Board Challenge form.

For organizations that attended the in-person GBK workshops and online webinars.

For organizations that attend the Liberty Bell Kick-off event in person on Give Big Kern (May 5).

Prize Overview

  1. Prizes will be given to participating organizations based on their donations received between April 5 and May 5, 2026.
  2. Only online donations will count towards special time-bound "speed fundraising" prizes on Give Big Kern Day (May 5).
  3. Organizations can only win one contest. If an organization qualifies for more than one prize, the organization automatically receives the larger prize amount unless the organization specifically requests the other prize. The other prize will be awarded to the next-best-finisher organization.
  4. An organization can win a contest and a random opportunity drawing.
  5. Prizes are subject to change at the discretion of Kern Community Foundation and all announced prizes are subject to verification.
  6. A unique donor is defined as one donation from one donor.
