Flood reduces homelessness and transforms lives.  

Flood has transitioned over 1,100 people out of homelessness in Kern County.  We continue to maintain an 87% housing retention rate at 2 years and our housing participants' lives are transformed.  Financial support is critical in order for us to continue to provide placement services to those currently living on our streets.

Flood exists to reach out and engage those in our community struggling in homelessness, linking them to resources and services through the supportive housing process. We help people overcome their disadvantaged circumstance through the love of God. Our cultural identity is to heal and humanize homelessness. We believe that every human is of equal value in God's eyes and deserves our respect and the right to a life free from affliction. Society dehumanizes people experiencing homelessness; we create a culture that minimizes homelessness and maximizes humanity by humanizing adversity and empowering change and resilience.

Who We Are

Flood Ministries connects with those experiencing homelessness in Kern County. Our mission is to assist those in need by linking individuals to appropriate services. We navigate them through the housing process and provide case management for housing assistance. We also help those experiencing homelessness to overcome difficult circumstances by offering mental, physical, and spiritual support.
