Upside Academy, Inc. – Organization Description

Upside Academy, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through leadership development, community engagement, and workforce readiness. Serving young people ages 12–18, the Academy provides meaningful opportunities for youth to grow into confident, capable leaders who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities.

Through hands-on programming, mentorship, and service-learning experiences, Upside Academy focuses on developing real-world skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and civic responsibility. The organization creates pathways for youth to engage in volunteerism, entrepreneurship, and career exploration, while also fostering a strong sense of purpose and belonging.

Upside Academy has served hundreds of youth and is committed to building the next generation of leaders who are not only prepared for the workforce, but also inspired to give back and lead with integrity.

Mission Statement

Upside Academy, Inc. mission is to provide volunteer and community service opportunities for youth, ages 12 – 18, in Kern County.
