We provide help and hope to those living with mental health challenges.

Mental health challenges in our country have grown into a full-fledged crisis affecting people of all ages, races and genders. Now, more than ever, we are called to provide help, hope and support to those living with mental health conditions.
Our Support Groups provide safe, confidential space to connect with others, share challenges and celebrate successes. All groups are led by trained peers with lived experience.

Our 8-week education programs are designed to provide basic information about mental illness, enhance communication skills, and introduce self-care strategies. These peer-led classes are offered in person and online.

"In Our Own Voice" presentations are offered to law enforcement officers and general public to help promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma. These interactive presentations demonstrate how individuals with severe mental health conditions experience recovery.

Our high schools and college clubs are designed to increase awareness, inspire advocacy and promote acceptance of all students to help reduce stigma.

Our Community Assistance Program provides food and basic necessities to at-risk families and assists individuals with the co-fee on their prescription medications.

NAMIWalks is our largest public awareness event and primary fundraiser. This annual event is an opportunity for the entire community to come together to show support for individuals affected by a mental illness.

NAMIWalks Kern County is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 2026 at Park at RiverWalk. There is no cost to participate. Save the Date and join us.

We are can't do this alone. We need your help!
