About Diamond in the Rough

Diamond in the Rough is a nonprofit organization committed to helping youth and young adults reach their highest potential through mentorship, education, athletics, and workforce development opportunities. The organization was created to provide guidance, structure, and access to resources that help individuals build confidence, develop leadership skills, and pursue meaningful goals in their lives.

Diamond in the Rough focuses on developing the whole person—supporting academic growth, character development, and personal responsibility while encouraging participants to discover their strengths and pursue college, career, and leadership opportunities.

Through mentorship programs, athletic development, educational enrichment, and community partnerships, Diamond in the Rough provides young people with opportunities to grow both on and off the field. The organization works closely with schools, recreation programs, and community leaders to create safe environments where youth can learn valuable life skills, build strong relationships, and prepare for their future.

Diamond in the Rough also helps student-athletes navigate the path to college through its Athletic SOS initiative, which connects students with college programs that match their academic achievements and athletic abilities. In addition, the organization supports workforce development and hands-on learning opportunities that help participants explore career pathways and gain real-world experience.
