Our Mission

Our Mission: Mission Community Services Corporation and its Women’s Business Centers of San Luis Obispo, Kern, and Monterey Counties are dedicated to raising the economic, educational, and social levels of aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, focusing on women, veterans, active military, and their families and those living in rural areas. Through our technical assistance programs, including business courses, workshops, and individual consulting sessions, we equip small businesses to start, grow, and thrive with the resources and business resiliency they need.

Our Services

MCSC provides expert technical assistance to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs through business plan courses, financial literacy classes, hands-on workshops, and personalized one-on-one consulting. We’re proud to serve our diverse communities with services, courses, and consultations offered in both English and Spanish.

Kern County Women’s Business Center Awards

After years of service and commitment, the Fresno SBA District Office awarded MCSC WBC Kern the honor of being the 2020 Women’s Business Center of the Year and 2024 Women’s Business Center of the Year. The WBC Kern office received the 2022 Beautiful Bakersfield Chairman’s Award, 2023 Bakersfield Chamber Champion of the Year Award and the 2024 North of the River Chamber Nonprofit of the Year Award.
